At around 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 23, a 41-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter were crossing the 5800 block of Henry Avenue in the city's Manayunk neighborhood, officials said.

As the pair were emerging from behind a car stopped in the left lane, a silver 2010 Nissan Maxima pulled through the right lane and struck them both, investigators believe.

The driver of the Nissan lost control and crashed into a vacant building nearby, authorities said. The driver, believed to be 24-year-old Onesimo Bosket, fled the scene on foot, leaving behind two female passengers, officials wrote.

The 41-year-old mother was rushed to Albert Einstein Hospital with severe injuries, where she was placed in critical condition, police said. The 9-year-old daughter was hospitalized with an injury to her ankle but was listed in stable condition, they added.

Bosket is described as a black male with a light complexion, about 5-foot-8 weighing 150 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. If spotted, residents should call 911, police said.
